Hotspot Shield should be compared as two distinct offerings. Basic provides a limited free entry point, while Premium changes the available locations, advertising and device allowance. Official support describes streaming restrictions in Basic, so a successful free connection is not evidence that the free tier will meet an entertainment requirement.

The provider documents its Hydra protocol alongside other options, including WireGuard. Protocol availability and application features can vary, making the app for your own device more useful to inspect than a broad feature list. Is Hotspot Shield Basic the same as Premium?

No. Official support lists fewer locations, streaming restrictions and Android advertising for Basic. Premium has different access and device terms.

Does every account support ten devices?

The current Premium offer advertises ten devices, but official support includes purchase eligibility qualifications. Check the entitlement on an older or third-party subscription.

Does the 45-day refund cover every purchase?
